In this necklace I captured a real rosebud between fine layers of resin. Beneath is a miniature garden of ivory toned Queen Anne's Lace flowers and moss. The scene is finished with a dust of gold leaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
My process starts with collecting and preserving botanicals gathered from my local meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and details in the best way possible.
The delicate flowers are carefully arranged in a circle shaped frame. The resin protects the flowers from aging and has a glossy finish.
A belgian spring preserved in an elegant necklace.
