In this necklace I captured the natural beauty of a spring meadow.
My process starts with collecting and preserving wildflowers gathered from Flanders wild meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and details in the best way possible.
The dainty muscari flower was carefully arranged and casted in a high quality, circle shaped frame. Beneath is a miniature meadow of ivory toned Queen Anne's Lace flowers and grass. The resin protects the wildflowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of gold leaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
