In this necklace I captured real pink heather buds and ivory toned Queen Anne's lace flowers between fine layers of resin.
My process starts with collecting and preserving wildflowers gathered from Flanders wild meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and details in the best way possible.
The delicate buds were carefully arranged and casted in a high quality, droplet shaped frame. The resin protects the buds and flowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of hand cut goldleaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
