In this dainty necklace I captured real gypsophila between fine layers of resin.
My process starts with collecting and preserving wildflowers gathered from Flanders wild meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and details in the best way possible.
The delicate blooms were carefully arranged and casted in a high quality, droplet shaped frame. The resin protects the flowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of hand cut goldleaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
This delicate flower is a symbol of true love and represents honesty, purity and everything good between two people. That’s why it’s often found in bridal bouquets.
