In this unique pair of earrings I captured real pink and white toned alyssum between fine layers of eco-friendly resin.
My process starts with collecting wildflowers from Flanders wild meadows. Once I gathered the flowers they are preserved up to 8 weeks to retain its natural colours and fascinating details in the best way possible. I use up to 4 different preservation techniques to achieve the best results.
The delicate blooms are then carefully arranged and casted in a high quality, circle shaped frame.
The resin will protect the preserved flowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of hand cut gold leaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
