In this necklace I captured real cherry blossoms and pet hair between fine layers of eco-friendly resin.
My process starts with collecting and preserving wildflowers gathered from Flanders wild meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and details in the best way possible.
The delicate hair and blooms were carefully arranged and casted in a high quality circle shaped frame. The resin protects the delicate blossoms and hairs from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of hand cut gold leaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
