cherry blossom ring - Gold fill
In this delicate ring I captured a real cherry blossom between fine layers of resin. My process begins with collecting and preserving delicate flowers collected from my local meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and intiguing details in the best way possible.
The flower was carefully cased in a dewdrop shaped frame resting on the ring. The resin protects the flowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of handcut goldleaf creating the finishing meadow glow.
